Thank you for your interest in our course for the commercial driving licence. You can join our mailing list and receive updates about the course, taught at online through Google meet.
Here, you sign up for the mailing list of the course for commercial driving licence at Ekill Driving School.
Courses are taught through the Google Meet teleconferencing; for students to participate, they must have a webcam turned on and be able to communicate with teachers and other students.
The course is taught in English.
At the bottom of this document, please indicate which license categories you wish to take.
The advertised course is subject to the minimum number of participants being reached, all participants will be notified well in advance.
Even if no course has been advertised, it is essential to register and express your interest.

We offer our students the possibility of a credit card loan where you can divide the payments to up to 36 months. Please look into the terms of service at Teya for further information on that.
We also offer the splitting of invoices with pei.is or to receive an invoice to your internetbank.
Don't forget to verify your eligibility for a scholarship through your union.

PLEASE NOTE
Legal responsibility during the practical exam: During practical lessons, the driving instructor is legally recognized as the driver under national laws and insurance regulations. However, during the practical driving test, the examinee is considered the driver and is legally responsible for the vehicle.
* Ekill Ökuskóli will contact you before the next course, but the course will only be held if enough participation is achieved.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the course, you must already hold a certificate of completion for a general driving license and meet other governmental requirements. You may begin your studies up to 6 months before reaching the legal age for the desired driving category.
Legal Driving Ages:
- Truck and Truck with Trailer: 21 years
- Taxi: 20 years
- Bus: 23 years
A medical certificate is required when applying for commercial driving privileges with the commissioner’s office.
Attendance Requirements
Participants are responsible for their own studies, and we strongly encourage them to approach their learning with responsibility and ambition.
Language Terms – Student Confirmation
Instruction and communication at Ekill Driving School are conducted in Icelandic and/or English.
For reasons of road safety and the safety of our instructors, it is essential that students understand and are able to communicate effectively in at least one of these languages.

I acknowledge that insufficient language proficiency may affect my safety, the safety of other road users, and the safety of the instructor.
Ekill Driving School reserves the right to assess whether a student’s language proficiency is sufficient to ensure safe instruction and may refuse or discontinue instruction if the instructor considers road safety to be at risk.

Practical Test Responsibility:
