Gíslína from Uppsölum, Geðpríður, Guðrún Kristín… At Ekill Driving School, we are very pleased to welcome Guðrún Kristín Benediktsdóttir to our team. She has shown a unique balance of calmness, sarcastic humor, and passion for teaching – and always manages to connect with her students in the end. Her experience is incredibly valuable to us, as few instructors have as long a track record in commercial drivers training as she does.

At Ekill Driving School, we are truly delighted to have welcomed Sigurbjörg Sól Ólafsdóttir into our team. She was our very first driving instructor in Reykjavík who placed her trust in us to help establish our operations in the south – and she has excelled from day one.

In the coming days, schools across the country will reopen, and thousands of children will be heading out into traffic every day – walking, cycling, or riding in their parents’ cars. The first weeks of the school year are a sensitive time on the roads, as children adjust to new routines and many take their first steps as independent road users. It is therefore the responsibility of all of us – parents, drivers, and society as a whole – to ensure their safety.

Jac Norðquist is a devoted family man and spends much of his time with his wonderful autistic daughter when he is not working. He was born and raised in Iceland, Sweden, and at Keflavík Airport, and outside of work he draws energy from cooking exotic food, traveling, and his passion for shooting sports.

Gestur Örn Ákason is a cheerful family man with a great passion for Formula 1. He was born in Reykjavík and raised in Kópavogur. Outside of work he draws energy from traveling, camping, and fishing.

Our phone service will be closed through July. Otherwise, our operations remain unchanged :) We will continue to respond to emails at ekill@ekill.is as usual and welcome students who have booked driving lessons with us. Have a wonderful summer..

Kristján Jóhann Bjarnason is a father of three and a mechanic with a great passion for cars. He was born in Neskaupstaður and raised in Eskifjörður, and outside of work he spends his time tinkering with vintage cars and motorcycles.

Guðjón Andri is a sociable and down-to-earth guy with a strong passion for driving, hiking, and meeting different people. He was born at Sturlu-Reykir in Reykholtsdalur. Outside of work he draws energy from nature, especially the highlands.
