Prices are based on the minimum number of theoretical and practical lessons. If a student needs to take an exam more than once, whether theoretical or practical, the student is responsible for the additional cost. If a student requires more practical lessons than the minimum required for each licence category, each additional lesson must be paid for separately. If a student is required to retake the practical exam, they are responsible for covering the cost of vehicle use for each additional attempt.

Emergency responders, including those working in rescue teams, ambulance services, or the police, receive a 15% discount at Ekill Driving School for courses leading to additional driving licences. The discount is calculated from the full price.

Note: Prices are based on upfront payment made during the first days of the course. Payments made by credit card or credit financing are considered upfront payments. Examination fees charged by Frumherji are not included in the course price. Previous driving rights that allow increased weight or passenger capacity, but were not obtained through a specific course, do not count toward further licence training, according to a ruling by Samgöngustofa. Please note that only licences obtained through formal training are considered, not rights that were automatically included with a standard category B licence in the past.

Below is our price list. For clarification, previous licences are often credited toward others within the same category. Select the highest licence category you currently hold to see the applicable pricing. If you only hold a category B licence, select “Current licence B.” If you already hold a category C licence, select “Current licence C,” and so on.

Payment options

Ekill Driving School offers 3 different payment options in addition to upfront payment by cash or card.
1) Receive a payment slip in your online bank. The recipient pays the payment slip fee.
2) Instalment loan through Borgun*, fees and interest according to Teya’s price list.
3) Pei payment slips*, fee of 2.5% added to the upfront payment price. Interest, notification fees and payment fees according to Pei’s price list.

NOTE: Driver training that has not been completed expires after 4 years.

Grants for work-related training

For information, individuals and companies may apply jointly, although separately, for a grant for work-related training. Please note that this does not apply to general driver training.

We would like to remind you that all companies in the general labour market with employees in Efling, Hlíf and VSFK may apply for grants for employee training. No special membership application is required; entitlement is created automatically through the payment of wage-related fees. A company’s entitlement, regardless of size, is ISK 3 million per year. More information is available at www.starfsafl.is

We would like to remind you that applications for company training grants are submitted through the funds’ online portal, www.attin.is

Please note that trade unions only accept payment receipts showing confirmed transactions/payments from an Icelandic bank account/payment card to the relevant training provider. The fund does not accept payment receipts for studies/courses paid in cash.

It is therefore sufficient to submit an invoice from the driving school together with a bank account transaction record — no stamped confirmation from the school is required.
