Commercial driving course all categories
We offer commercial driving license instruction through our online platform. The course comprises 104 lessons total.
Our commercial driving course encompasses the privileges to operate pickup trucks and SUVs up to 7.5 tons (C1), buses for more than 16 passengers (D), minibusses for 9-16 passengers (D1), taxis (BFar), trucks exceeding 7.5 tons (C), and trailers (BE, DE, CE, C1E). Further details on study requirements can be found on our website, which can be translated into English with your browser.
How does the online course work?
We would like to highlight a few important aspects of this learning format:
- Fully flexible learning: You can access the course whenever it suits you, allowing you to study alongside your work and other commitments. You can progress through the material at your own pace.
- Online learning platform: The course is delivered through our learning platform at fjarnam.ekill.is.
- Structured learning material: The course is divided into chapters containing video lectures, written explanations, practice questions and exams.
- English subtitles: All video lectures in the Basic Part are delivered in Icelandic but include English subtitles. This ensures that all students have access to the same educational content.
- Slides in both languages: At the beginning of each chapter, you will have access to the corresponding presentation slides in both Icelandic and English.
- Additional learning resources: You will also receive access to supplementary course materials, including presentation slides, additional resources and recordings from our most recent English-language course, held in September.
Important information about the Advanced Part
While the Basic Part of the course is available with English subtitles, some subjects in the Advanced Part have not yet been fully subtitled.
As a result, depending on the driving licence categories you are studying for, you may not be able to complete the entire theoretical course directly through the learning platform.
Please rest assured that this will not prevent you from completing your studies. Ekill will ensure that you receive the necessary English-language learning materials and support to complete the remaining subjects.
We will contact each student individually as they approach the Advanced Part to provide further instructions and arrange access to the appropriate materials.
